HDTV or high definition television normally refers to any video system with higher resolution standard definition. The original HD specifications back to 1980, when Japan first had a standard line of TV 1025.

and NHK in Japan presented its analog HDTV system at a conference in Switzerland in 1983

The high-definition signals require a large HDTV or computer monitor to be noticed or seen. High Definition Video normally have an aspect ratio of 16:9. The aspect ratio of panoramic film is normal now generally taken 1:85:1 or 2:40:01. The standard type of television has a 4:3 ratio.
HDTV resolution is 1080 or 720 lines. In contrast, regular digital television is 480 lines or 576 lines. The current DVD quality is not high definition, even if HD systems like HD-DVD and Blu-Ray are both later and should be sent in 2006.The most striking feature of HD video is that it is so like life. High definition is very popular these days, with television.
